Snowpeak snowpeak m60b titanium bottle

I'm sure that SPA doesn't offer a titanium alloy cylinder or bottle for anything they make. Titanium is a lot more expensive than aluminum and also much harder to work with. It is light for it's strength but I doubt it would be lighter than a carbon fiber reinforced aluminum bottle. As I've said before, I think the carbon fiber bottles are also safer because the carbon fiber overwrap would seem to contain any holes or tears in the aluminum liner preventing them from flying away - potentially in your direction. I see carbon fiber reinforced bottles as the best option. I'm not sure SPA ships with those either but Wes at Air Archery Fun will sell you a M60 with a carbon fiber bottle.
I have a P12 that supposedly has a titanium tube according to Mike...umm. you know, the guy from Mrodair.

Titanium sounds interesting? Many subs built from titanium for sure. Not sure it would any lighter than carbon?

About 45% lighter than steel for the same mass. No, not lighter than Carbon Fiber. Aluminum is about 35% lighter than Titanium for the same mass.

You would have to ask someone with a current education in metallurgy as to the newer alloys of aluminum and Titanium.

my old luck with shopping:

i got a M60B .35 calfrom krale with the collar lacking a fill-port, and the screw-in fill adapter had a broken foster fitting, until they send a new one.
then after the new batch of bottle collars with fill port arrived from airgun archery fun, it was lacking the check valve (so i could not use it to swap bottles, like i had hoped) and also the foster fitting was leaking. =(

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I had to clean the dozen of so I got from Wes, all of them leaked!

my collar came with an extra foster valve, that worked a bit better then the original snowpeak plastique insert.
when you got them, did you get them with the check valve so the bottle can be taken off under (rest-)pressure?
