Snowpeak Round Head Pellets 0.22 250ct

Has anyone tried these for 1,000 fps+ PCP at distances from 120 to 160 meters?

I haven't been able to find any reviews.
Forgive any negative implication that could be deduced from this question.

Why not move to slugs if you're going to shoot that distance, with that much velocity?

What kind of gun are you wanting to shoot them out of?

I am most interested in shooting them from my FX DRS 600mm, but it they work well, also from my two FX Streamlines, and Air Arms S510 Extra. I shoot all of those at those distances.

If the Snowpeak or Artemis Lead Pellets – 0.22 Hollow Point work better than the CPHP, they would be a better deal.

I have no interest in slugs for a number of reasons, including that they cost about $16.00/500 while slugs and many other pellets cost $60.00+ for many pellets and slugs. Somehow the challenge of hitting small targets at silly distances with pellets, engages my interest, while slugs, or powder burners do not. I can't explain why.

As for velocity, the DRS drives Crosman Premium Holllow Point 14.3 gr at 1,030 fps with sifficient accuracy to stay on the silhouettes out to 160 meters, which surprised me, very much. My other guns need to be in the 900-950 fps at the most to do that. When I put some pellets through the chronograph, and saw the velocity, I almost backed the hammer spring but thought I'd try it to see what happened. Very shocking as I thought that velocity this high would be too much for pellet stability.

Of course, the balance of velocity versus accuracy tips to greater velocity because of the distance, the drop, and the fact that we have wind. We are almost looking at an inverted factor set from bench rest.
Various recommendations indicated that the 600 mm DRS would offer a long range accuracy advantage over the 500 mm, but the physics of that escape me.

I shoot 500-700 pellets in a typical 6-1/2 hour day of almost constant shooting, each week, so pellets that will stay on the silhouettes, for 1/2 or less the price, are an attractive option.

One of the many things that I have learned in this life, especially with regards to technical questions, is that people claim to know many things that they do not know, so one needs to try things to confirm, rather than just to accept things.
