So 2240 no more?

Is the 2240 being canceled? I was looking at some builds and someone mentioned Crosman might end the production for it.

Think you can still find the old 2240 around if you do some surfing on the net.

Still shows to be available from Crosman according to their website.:

But Crosman has come out with the 2240XL now which comes with a metal breech and moderator adapter already installed. It's a really nice looking setup.

I saw that prymyd and airgun depot still offer the basic pistol with open sights. Love that basic platform, but its also nice not having to go the custom shop for a steel breech lead slinger.

Sounds strange they would stop production. They just some what recently came out with the 2240XL

If your planning on optics anyway I would go straight for the 2240XL. Worth it for the upgrades and the 1/2UNF for a moderator. Mine is shooting JSB 15.9 at just under 500 fps for ~30 shots with no power upgrades other than a Cothran SS hammer and Alchemy TP.

If you're looking at the Gravmags I'd take a look at their Gracmag Compact. A little more streamlined with 5 shots.

I just bought one . Got it Friday. About 60 dollars new on Ebay.

I did not know what a good deal I had found. I really like it. I can see it will get shot a lot.

Really like that XL. Wish it came with open sights. I guess it will accept the LPA rear, but what about the front?
