So I slugged a barrel...

Aea challenger elite .51 came in at .514

Explains why most ammo is like throwing a hotdog down a hallway, and why some ammo zings toward the 18"x12" target 50yds away and can't stay on the paper.

What's a guy to do? Request a new barrel? Find someone that can size to .514?
It helps if the person making your ammo has all the info about your pcp, twist rate, a slug from when you slugged the barrel so they can help you with what diameter you should be using, no 2 barrels are the same. Also, quality, anyone can make slugs not everyone can make a good quality slug and pays attention to detail.

Welp... seller sent a replacement... and it's kinda worse than the first one. Muzzle end bore is .511 and grooves are .513

Must be a batch problem. That's no bueno. Seller has been helpful and understanding though, kudos to them.
FEI: It is not a batch problem it is a quality, consistent, machining and measuring problem. None of the AEA big bores runs consistent barrel i.d. sizing. They have been told this from the beginning, years ago, and failed to correct the issue. So the end user must deal with it by sourcing the correct ammo or liner sleeving the barrel to the diameter and quality he wants.
