So. Many. Oil. Choices?

I AM melting down (rather than my new compressor) trying to decipher all the oil choices.

Coltri, Shell, Bauer....750, 755, 550...Seco Lube 500....Chemlube 751, Maxlube 501, Maxair 101, Ultra Chem 751, Coltri CE 750, Mako Blue, Bauer 1250, SL-800, Anderol 500, Anderol 555. Anderol 750....and on and on and on.

I ordered a Tuxing TXEDT032

My plan is to baby the compressor, run it under capacity, with the best oil I can in order to prolong time between overhauls.

I'm sure I'll be hard pressed to get a consensus, but it seems as though many are just rebranded repackaged Chemlube?

I read a post where Chemlube 501 was recommended over 750(755?) because it was lighter weight (lower viscosity?) and worked better in the crappy Chinese compressors oil systems?

Price is not an object. I'll spend $50+ to protect a $1000 compressor.

Can I just get your thoughts and opinions, and more importantly the BEST place to get it? I have a Grainger locally, is that an option? I live in a major city so I'm guessing there is someplace local to buy, but whatever, sometimes ordering online is easier.

Thank you

My new Daystate came with this which is probably in your long list. Since it’s an Italian compressor.

Yea. I see what you did there. It’s all relative. You know exactly what I’m saying. $50 to protect a $1000 investment is worth it. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt you’re just messing around since context is lost in message threads. If you have something positive to contribute to the conversation I’d be grateful for the info.

It's Secolube CF500. $59 a a gallon will last you many years of oil changes. It will last for 12 oil changes on a Yong Heng. After your first break in oil change after a 5 hours runtime, you would only need to change it every 25 hours thereafter. You are smart to realize that cheaping out on oil is not the way to keep your compressor in good working order. Spend it on oil or spend more on repair parts and the aggravation of waiting for them from China.

Perfect. Thank you. I was looking at that specific website earlier today. Is the secolube its own thing or is it a repackage of another oil?

Got dropped connection.

Don't need to spend $50 there's other suggestions already mentioned for much less.

Thank you sir. I’m leaning towards the Sencolube.

Royal purple is for standard compressors... you know... 220psi or so. not 4000

I use shell corena s2 p150

Understood. That’s the impression I was under ref the Royal Purple.

Is there a reason you chose the Shell over the chemlube?

Where do you source it from? I did a quick search online and didn’t find much.

I use it because its easier to source (for me) and is more affordable. But also an excellent oil for the task. Ive tried a few other oils including royal purple. The shell stuff holds up super well. I get mine off of lubefinder. They have pretty fast shipping to the states, and very affordable.
