I AM melting down (rather than my new compressor) trying to decipher all the oil choices.
Coltri, Shell, Bauer....750, 755, 550...Seco Lube 500....Chemlube 751, Maxlube 501, Maxair 101, Ultra Chem 751, Coltri CE 750, Mako Blue, Bauer 1250, SL-800, Anderol 500, Anderol 555. Anderol 750....and on and on and on.
I ordered a Tuxing TXEDT032
My plan is to baby the compressor, run it under capacity, with the best oil I can in order to prolong time between overhauls.
I'm sure I'll be hard pressed to get a consensus, but it seems as though many are just rebranded repackaged Chemlube?
I read a post where Chemlube 501 was recommended over 750(755?) because it was lighter weight (lower viscosity?) and worked better in the crappy Chinese compressors oil systems?
Price is not an object. I'll spend $50+ to protect a $1000 compressor.
Can I just get your thoughts and opinions, and more importantly the BEST place to get it? I have a Grainger locally, is that an option? I live in a major city so I'm guessing there is someplace local to buy, but whatever, sometimes ordering online is easier.
Thank you
