Skout So much happier now .... SKOUT Epoch is now .22 caliber !!!!

Just back from the SVFTC October match ... spent about 1/2 hour after the match trying JSB 25.4's at @ 900 fps, JSB 18's at @ 1045 fps and Alteros 32 grain slugs @ 865 fps.
All being at one setting ( 1600 / 125 ) just to give a quick shakedown at 100 / 115 yards seeing how the new OEM .22 cal barrel shot ?
In a word STELLAR !!!! It appears very much so a keeper showing very good consistency / accuracy.

Tried a couple of shots on Scott’s Skout in 22 with Altaros slugs and it sure looks very promising.

Was able to update my EPOCH .30 to .22 cal about 3 weeks ago.
Yesterday removed the TJ .22 3 groove from the JSAR Raptor, cut it down to the required 25" oal, put in a leade semi matching to what OEM barrel profile has.
So now we have 2 barrels that can be swapped back & forth in about 2 minuets.

Also made a change to the BARREL THIMBLE .... as was found with the .30, the center bridge area between the port slots was very wide and blunt being IMO flow restrictive. This was my first go at it to just thin the bridge at ports entry to a air parting edge. Testing saw a slight FPS increase.
Went back in and reworked the bridge again making it THINNER all the way into bore. Retest showed a 35 fps increase changing nothing else.
SO YES .... IMO as SKOUT is manufacturing / machining these 2 slot / port barrel thimbles, they are being a tad conservative leaving some room for improvement.

More @ a .177/.22 thing
I am over the top excited - @Skout-airguns = Skout is mailing me a SINGLE shot mag for .177.
They sent me a clip / video and from the looks of things, this should be solid solution that will solve my .177 pellet skirt damage issues. Standby for testing (hopefully) this weekend. Skout customer service continues to impress!

The mag design appears unchanged from the .30 still using a contact shelf against the pellet at full length ( head & skirt ) and whatever amount of pre-tension you wish to use. 30 shots in .22 cal is really nice, but as we know the cumulative weight/mass of 30 and declining as used 18++ grain pellets is a fair bit.
* Only mod I plan to do will be the same as the .30 cal mags which had skirts hanging up when mag is cycling with a muzzle elevated position.
Can't see the .22 being any different with the skirts able to slide rearward against the cover plate.

Not saying an issue exists  just going to make sure and modify with the glued in o-ring keeping skirts off the cover and not hanging on the cover tab recess's being the length mag allows is in excess of length of projectiles one may shoot in .22 caliber.

Pic below is the .30 cal issue, hung up pellet is @ 10 o'clock having skirt hanging in corner of tab recess preventing cassette rotation.
Fix was gluing in a cut o-ring so cassette can still rotate but pellet skirts are kept inward the thickness of the o-ring and therefor can't hang up.
