I will be keeping my M3’s. I was a little upset with FX about the DRS but they have redeemed themselves by not fixing what I feel needs fixed on the M4. So I don’t have to buy one. Love them for it. I’m currently 400 miles from home on a night hunting trip. I like my M3’s. I feel that I have them as bullet proof as I can make them. But I didn’t bring them. Need less points of failure on trips like this.

No pre-order. I prefer to wait and buy it when it’s in stock. Pre-orders make me feel like I do while waiting on someone that owes me money to pay me.
Palmbeachairguns.com has then in stock, I managed to get my hands on the bronze one yesterday while servicing my new to me m3.

By getting my hands on it I dont mean buy one, but actually get a feel for it.

I have owned or still own an FX Bobcat .25, Impact m1 .25, a Wildcat compact MK2 .22, Wildcat sniper MK3 .25, Boss .30 and the M3 Impact .22. Personally I have (never) had an issue with my guns. I believe most problems are user error, specially with the Impact, twisting knobs while the gun is cocked, tuning for max velocity without completely understanding the process ETC. BTW I have also owned or still own several other brands including HW, Edgun, KalibrGun, Diana to name a few. They all have pros and cons. For me FX has been the smoothest most accurate guns I have owned. Will I buy the M4? not likely as the M3 does everything I need. God Bless you all.

I talked myself down from an Impact three years ago and never looked back (I got a Dreamline instead). My experience with FX has been terrific, but they don't really do what I'm looking for next. Make that M4 in .20 cal and I'll start to pay attention! For now, I'll be passing on both.

Amongst other PCPs I have a couple of FXs (Royale 500, Impact MK2, Crown MK2, Panthera), each for specific applications. All have preformed very well and without problems.

I'm now waiting on a .22/600mm DRS as a light weight squirrel stalking gun.

I'd be interested in an Impact MK4 if I didn't have a MK2. Very happy with the MK2 so no need to upgrade.

Cheers!

Ok. I can see that. Especially if the gun gets swiveled. Thanks for the info
At the range today, I was told that the Impact M3 does not flex from the trigger block back, any flexing that occured was between my ears. I was also informed that when flexed the FX barrel system will always return to zero with no POI shift. Then I was informed that an FX Impact can never be as accurate as a RAW.

I came to the following conclusions:

1. I didn't physically measure the amount of flex and therefore have no actual physical data other than that existing as vapor in the drug induced void between my ears.

and

2. You can grab an Impact by the barrel and use it as a sledge hammer, then let it sit while you stoke up a bong and by the time you are really good and buzzed, both you and the barrel should be at the exact same POI.

and

3. I am way too ugly to own a RAW.

I’m not an early adopter of anything anymore. I’ve been burned enough times that I let a product hit the market and prove itself before I invest in it. 🤷‍♂️
Agree 100%. Fx seems to do a lot of product testing in the market. I was late to join the cult of Impact but I find it a very good gun. I’m not a bench rester and not obsessed with spread and deviation etc. I aim it at a ground squirrel and the ground squirrel flops over dead as long as I did my part. Most modern airguns can achieve this. Probably it’s total overkill for my needs. But I like to have cool toys and the impact is a cool toy! Shift and flex be damned

Can’t speak to #3. I’ve never been in that cool club. My hair was just not right. On your advice I went ahead and tested #2. I’m not sure. I have a bit of shift on poi now. Maybe it’s just the scope that got bumped. Swfa are not known to hold zero well. :).

Never preorder anything that’s brand new. Let the general public have at it first for a month or so. They identify all the issues and manufacturers address them and even make design changes to what ever it may be. I go by this rule on about everything especially anything as intricate as airguns can be sometimes. I will also go to immense trouble sometimes to avoid having to order and wait on something to arrive. I will pay more for something if I can go pick it up and hold it and look it over good. That is getting more and more difficult to do and impossible practically with airguns though.

Yes, then the gorillas in the brown trucks can't bounce it around and the porch pirates have nothing to steal.
