Soft Rifle Case

I am a fan of Boyt equipment. They make nice rifle and shotgun cases. I recently purchased a soft case from Midway USA because they were out of Boyts. I am really impressed with it. Between the excellent padding, a very thoughtful zipper and a well placed handle I cannot recommend this enough. Bye bye Boyt, hello Midway. I have two and will be purchasing others. Their pistol cases are also equal in quality and great value for money.

@maxtrouble That’s a nice traditional styled case. I like some of Midway’s bags as well. Have you checked out any of the Savior Equipment bags? Decent quality for a decent price.

I like the soft cases for my PB’s but for my PCP’s I prefer a hard case. To me the barrels on PCP’s are delicate and wouldn’t take much to have a POI change from transit. That would really piss me off while hunting.
Obvious negative side of hard case is that it’s bulkier. This winter I’m going to make a simple wooden, sort of casket for my airgun/s that has it sitting like in a vee at front and rear of rifle. It will have a bottom, ends and two sides. Doesn’t really need a top but maybe something simple with a piano hinge. It would be strictly for transporting to the range or hunting, not something like you would ship it in or airline travel.
