Tuning SOLVED Mrod - disconnected striker help SOLVED

So royally screwed up the mrod today. Installed the PEEK striker from Hill. works great... until went to make sure it was seated and went cw instead of ccw as I was turned around and not paying attention..... major oops.... now it is loose between hammer and valve. Degas tool is not working at all. Suggestions? I have many choice words for myself right now. Any degas suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE:

Leaning on the side of safety I assumed degas is needed. Lesson learned.

Sqrlhntr,

This can be solved one of 2 ways......but first......

IF ANYONE READING THIS, DOES NOT HAVE MECHANICAL SKILLS, DO NOT TRY THIS!!!!! HPA IS NOTHING TO "EXPERIMENT " WITH!!!!!

Now that the PSA is said, you can do these 2 things.......

You can 1, SLOWLY back off the pressure gauge on the bottom of the receiver until you hear it hiss. Do NOT back it out more than 2-3 turns. Leave it for hours if you have to.

2, you can loosen the foster fitting on the end fitting, loosening it until it hisses as well. Again, leave it for a couple of hours, 2 should do it.

You should be able to back off the fitting, but check the gauge pressure, and spray it with wd40 to see if it stops bubbling.

Reinstall, you might need o rings for the gauge, or Teflon tape for the foster fitting.

Hope this helps.

Another way if you don't have the proper tools to degass is to connect filler as though you gonna fill at up with air and SLOWLY! fill till you hear a click at the gun comnection then STOP! tighten the tank valve shut then SLOWLY!!! crack that bleeder it'll it BARELY HISSES then STOP!!! STEP AWAY FROM THE TANK and go have a sandwich while it slowly hisses all out or just wait there for half hour or so (maybe longer). Note manometer below zero.
