Some help with rule 13 as well as offering items for sale in the classifieds.

If this stuff should be discussed with a moderator, please let me know. Since I don't have 10 posts, I can't send a private message to one.

Do I need to be a sponsored vendor to list a few items for sale in the classifieds? Mainly just demo models or over stock items. I do understand the need to get 10 posts before I can list anything there.

Not quite understanding rule 13 as it applies to a business.

13. Clandestine advertising is not permitted. It is our policy to only allow sponsored vendors to have a retail voice on AGN. If you are a non-sponsored dealer or manufacturer and you come across something related to your business that is either untrue or against our rules, please use the "Contact us" button at the bottom to discuss addressing it.

What is Clandestine Advertising? I am assuming that would be trying to sell stuff through private messages or emails?

Does this mean if I am a not sponsored I can talk about general airgun stuff in the forums, but not about my business itself or things I sell in a retail as in selling sense, or does that mean I can't talk at all in the forums?

I think I get this. If I am non sponsored I am not allowed to defend my business per say and must defer to a moderator?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Hi Don,

The Classified forum is for Member to Member transactions, and occasionally our Sponsors will offload some pre-owned goods there.

Clandestine advertising is when a non-sponsored vendor tries to use the forum for their financial gain. Which includes promoting themselves in member discussions. If a non-sponsored vendor feels the need to "defend their business", they can send an email to [email protected] to get permission to join a specific discussion.

Please message one of the above if you need further clarification or details on becoming a sponsor.

Thanks
