FX Some troubles with Fx panthera...Spread is ok, POI is crazy

Hi all. I have some issues with my Fx Panthera. I´m shooting pellets JSB 18 grain at 1000-1050 fps, to 30-45 m and have too much changes in POI. The gun is very consistent, SD 1, spread 5…I know it´s too hot for pellet, so i started shooting slugs NSA 31 grain, but the problema continues, very consistent but the POI is crazy…Maybe too near? do i need clean the barrel?

Too many times when I've been driving myself crazy over things like this it's been some kind of slight slight clipping in the moderator

Are you sure the slugs you are shooting are sized for the barrel you have? That’s the tough part with slugs, .001” plus or minus in size can make all the difference in the accuracy. Get yourself a good mix of sizes first, find the one that shoots the most accurately, tune your rifle to get the best from that one slug. There are way too many YouTube stars making it look like it’s a simple process by showing a ten minute video. What they don’t show is the long process and costly I might add finding the correct size.

Thanks everyone for the tips! I’ll try your suggestions. Slugs are 0.218 — I’ll test 0.217 and some other weights too. My barrel is 700mm, but I shoot pellets with the M4 extender and it’s pretty accurate. I thought maybe the moderator was the issue, but I don’t see any scratches or clipping. Reg is set at 80 bar and micro on 1… yeah, too hot for pellets, true — but I guess with slugs those problems might go away

I have a .22 700 cm Panthera. If you remove the shroud, the POI will change. If you then loosen the two screws on Part No. A12 (Valvetube End), the POI will change again. Try shooting the rifle with the shroud removed and the two screws loosened.

And, my Panthera had an out of spec carbon fiber tube over the barrel. The tube was putting inconsistent force on the barrel.

Exactly what happened to me with my GK1 Shadow suppressor….. tiny clipping and ruined the whole experience. Have you tried shooting without the moderator to see if that does the trick?

I'll tell you I've done this enough times that I should've learned... the last time I realized I had wasted an afternoon due to clipping I wanted to give myself a sound beating.
