I’ve been thinking about an Evol .30 for small game. I currently have a Crown .25 with a moderator. I like the power and sound level. Curious if anyone has both guns and can say if the .30 is a little or a lot louder.

depends on how you set it up .. i dont have those particular guns, but my .35 bulldog is about at the sound level of a stock prod w/shroud, using an emperor and hill depinger ..

Yep. My 30 crown is hotrodded pretty good. Not very quiet. But that doesn't mean it couldn't be quiet. Just the way it's setup....

I run a DonnyFL Shogun on my Gauntlet 30. Without it sounds like a 22lr being shot, with moderator it is backyard friendly.

Got the Evol .30 Saturday. With the factory moderator it’s pretty darn close to the Crown .25 with a 0Db 160 moderator.

With a Huggett Astille 30 on my .25 Bullpup avenger the internals make more noise than the report.
A Donny Tatsu makes it tolerable but not as quiet. I know not what you asked about but my 2 cents worth.
