I'm tiring to find a Source for High Pressure nitrogen in So. California (Inland Empire or Orange Co.). I've only been able to locate 2000-3000 PSI at local welding supply and gas suppliers. Anybody found one????

Might want to check out Airgas Co. If they do not have it, they might be able to source it or recommend another source for it.

Thanks, I went to Airgas Co and they only had the low pressure tanks and didn't know of any high pressure retailers

You really need to look at the weight of the large industrial 6K tanks. I seriously considerd that route initially. Hell,I use a little tractor to load my 100CF nitrogen Airgas tank just to save my back. Thick walled tanks at 6K and I would need a bigger tractor. Delivery costs are also a factor if you don't have the means to move it. My Daystate 110v compressor arrives tomorrow. End of story...

I think 6k N2 is a great way to go for certain people. I have one and here is a run-down of the costs associated with it:
The tank rental is $90 per year and dry N2 is $60 per fill. With incidentals ($7 energy & fuel charge, $6.95 hazmat charge and $35 delivery charge), the total comes to $199 per year if I only need to fill it once per year.
The biggest expense going this route is a CGA 677 regulator that can handle 6000 psi and output 4500 psi to the line. I happened to have one sitting unused in my lab – otherwise they can be expensive to buy new. The local Praxair guy actually called me to make sure I had the right regulator before sending out the cylinder.
If you have one, this is a great way to go – the nitrogen is completely dry and pure. The lowest grade I can purchase is “high purity 4.8” (99.998% nitrogen) and it has only 3 parts per million water. 3ppm water corresponds to a dew point of -92F or a relative humidity at 70*F of 0.01% (not 1% but 0.01% – completely dry). You’ll never even get close to that level of dryness with any other (affordable) method. The tank they delivered is called a type 6K and it has an internal volume of 43 liters – at 6000psi that comes to 502CF of nitrogen (roughly 400+ refills of a synrod). It’s a sweet way to go for me since I had the regulator already. Anyway, hope that info is somewhat helpful.

Thanks for your response. It's amazing the difference in prices from state to state. I went to our Praxair today and they wanted an unbelievable $2.00 a day rental with $120.00 fill and no delivery to homes. I said for $2.00 a day a would rather buy the tank and was told they don't sell them. I'm still looking

Those are more like the numbers I was quoted.....I will also add that I expect to need a refill more than once a year as I am shooting a lot more and getting deeper into large bore 250 Bar fills. I top off my great white at about 3700 lbs. That means I'll be handing back the bottle with a lot still in it. My Daystate compressor from AOA is out for delivery UPS. I will add that I would love to use Nitrogen but for now I will limit it to shocks and tires....
