Anyone know of any ranges available in the South Bay (Silicon Valley) area or any upcoming matches?

I didn’t know of any until you get to Watsonville area or further south on the 101. I’d be interested to see what people post here.

There's a couple in the San Bernardino area. Not too far from the South Bay.
Route 66 Shooting (new), and another.
Angeles Shooting range, been around a LONG time.
Burro Canyon (Azusa), Not sure of the availability with the Bobcat fire though

Unfortunately, my "stroll thru the Internet" led me to mostly dead ends with closed sites and clubs that don't allow new members so far. Hence my post here... Somebody must know of a place I can shoot.

North bay ... you have the DIABLO Rod & Gun club
There is a VERY ACTIVE airgun club that shoots weekly, does Silhouette shoots during the week, Fun shoots time to time and monthly Field target shoots.

Thanks Motorhead! That's a long haul but would be great for matches. I'm looking for something close I can drive to weekly to practice for EBR and similar events, but thank you for bringing Diablo to my attention again. Last time I looked they were shut down.

The Los Altos Rod and Gun club has a 50 yard trash range to shoot anything but glass that you can shoot your air rifle; unfortunately their long range I believe will not let you shoot air guns due to lead ammo. I believe Field Sports Park in Santa Clara is fine for shooting air guns.

Field Sports Park aka Metcalf shooting range near South San Jose. Right now it’s by reservation only and I don’t think they’ve reopened the 200 yard range.

I don't understand.
The first one I call (Route 66) is open and accepts new shooters.
Since I don't know where you live, I used the Northrop Grumman plant as a starting point. It's about 1-1/2 hours away from that start point.
The second one...
And again...Angeles Shooting Range is open..! About 1 hour from N.G. parking lot.
My "search" seems to work.
If you want something in your backyard, can't help you. I don't think there is any. There used to be a range by LAX. Don't know if it's still open. Do a search...

He's asking about San Francisco Bay Area . . . the SoCal ranges you're mentioning are a bit of a drive for him (and me).

Mike, Thanks for your input. When I originally did my search there were a lot more closures in the Silicon Valley area. While things are not wide open, there do appear to be a couple of options and I think I'll be able to get in those two. I'd love to head up north to Diablo but it's a drive and a half. Would be fine for a match though. Appreciate your (and others') assistance.

As Motorhead said there is the Diablo Club at United Sportsmen complex just outside of Concord. About an hours drive from San Jose. It is not shutdown but very active. Wednesday mornings (9-12) is airguns only (and some Friday mornings). There are active airgun competitions on the weekends.

It's quite a long way up there so I'll probably come up to Diablo for a match or two but I'm looking for a spot to practice weekly. The municipal range between SJ and Morgan Hill looks to be the best. Wish there was a way I could buy a reduced cost "range fee card" though!
