Spring air walk-in scope

I have a rws34 older model that I put a vortek spring in. Got a UTG scope on it an a one piece B-square scope mount that I bought yrs ago from airguns express. Seems to be sliding the scope to the rear of the mount until the front bell is touching. All screws are tight. Does anyone know of a better option for one piece mount?

yes, well if it is still made.. I had the same thing on my rws 34 at least 30+ years ago.. rws had a one piece mount that was adjustable for barrel droop.. it locked on.. I think 4 decent size Allen screws along the side and a set screw that went down into a recess in the rail.. they never moved, even on my 48..

RWS Lockdown mount was designed for it. Torque to spec, do not overtighten the rings or you can damage to scope tube. 15 inch lbs on the rings (short side of allen wrench if you dont have torque driver). 30 inch lbs on the base (long side of allen wrench) and use loctite on the scope stop pin, but do not overtighten.

Scope ring caps a guy really needs a decent toque inlb screwdriver .. then 18 inlb is a safe max toque on caps. After that you can damage the scopes tube .

You could see if that in your scopes manual or email the manufacturer support on a max toque setting of any one scope..

The adjustable mount Markhooper mentioned is the RWS "C" mount. I have one on my D48. An excellent setup, but it's no longer made.

I had scope creep problems with a UTG scope on my HW50S. Bought a pair of Sportsmatch medium rings and problem solved. They clamp down good and tight on the scope tube, and they have a recoil stop screw to prevent slippage on the mount rail.

If the ring caps got the little anti slip (lol) pads you may need to retouqe the caps due to compression.. one set of mounts I just got rid of them consently slipping . ( Remove or replace them )
