when I pull the cocking lever on my fx gladiator you can hear what I guess you could call spring creak. Does anyone else experience this? It bugs me but I don't know if it's a normal thing its been doing it the whole time I've had the gun. Any input is welcome thanks guys.

Spring noise while cocking

On the Gladdy it's most likely the small 'helper' return spring behind the actual hammer spring - it's the one that interfaces to the stock at the very rear of the action (& is adjustable via the outer set screw).
As you'll know the FX hammer spring itself is only compressed or has load upon cocking so it is able to move freely fore & aft when the gun is uncocked.

I hadn't thought of that the cocking lever doesn't return maybe that spring is broken or out of place. That could explain the noise I'm going to have to put my big boy pants on and open her up when I have a few minutes to myself. Thanks

On second thought did all gladiators have a return spring or just the newer models, it's a mk2 but the cocking lever is a different style than the newer models

The gladiators whit the return spring are those who uses the same action as te cyclone and cutlas.
