Is there a spring piston pistol anyone would recommend that's accurate, reasonably powerful (300-400 fps) and not so long it might as well be an sbr/carbine.

Looks like a lot of nice pistols. I think I'm going with the Diana P five, looks like it will be good for my intended use (plinking cans and such) and the price is right too. Thanks for all the responses.

Beeman (Webley) Tempest or Hurricane, or Beeman P1. All compact springers with barrel-over-cylinder design. The P1 is the best, gets around 550 FPS and has a superb trigger, but all three are built like tanks and tremendous fun.
The Hurricane and Tempest are basically the same gun except for the sights (and aftermarket grips on this Hurricane). The Tempest is an all-time classic and a personal favorite - 450 FPS or so, and only nine inches long.

I like my tempest. Only reason I have mine up for sale is there is something else I want thats for sale. If I miss what I'm wanting to buy I'm pulling it down from sale only to trades.
The tempest is a neat little air pistol.

I have decided to give the Diana P5 a try as it sounds like it should do what I want it to at a very reasonable price. Just something to knock a few cans around the yard at 10 yards or so. It's on back order at Pyramyd. I'll let you guys know what I think when it gets here. Thank you all for the suggestions.

HW 75 is not a spring air but a single stroke pneumatic , Might go for a HW 45 though. My personal favorites are some old restored Feinwerkbau 65 and 80 models.the HW 75?

The FW65 is a great bit of kit. Just check the buffer is new or it’s a PITA strip to replace

Well, It arrived about a week ago. Shoots pretty good for a $70. pistol. triggers fair, sights are OK. Im knocking cans around cosistently at 15 yards free hand. seems to like the alloy pellets better than the AAs. claims to shoot 400fps but I haven't shot it over the chrono. What pellets do you guys use in your pistols?
