You know those little plastic flowers pots you have from planting this spring. Turn them into concrete targets. I made theses four 70 cents each. Still enough concrete for a couple more.

They are made to swing. Note the eyelet. After cured for seven days they are like a sidewalk. Cement cures to 90% strength after seven days.

Swingers, lead pellets. They get as hard as concrete does. Takes 7 days to completely cure.

I had a ricochet off of a 2x4, that is why I asked.

I questioned it because the only time I've had one lead pellet ricochet when it hit a piece of Starboard or otherwise known as synthetic Marine lumber. It's a resilient plastic board. Other than that pellets have always splatted or flattened with not enough remaining energy to be dangerous.

HW75 in the basement with a wadcutter. Unexpected result. Small, can sized cement targets would last a long time. A lot longer than a can.
