springer 177 at 80 yards

Depends on the gun. I would be a lot more forgiving of a low end gun than a high dollar gun.
A 3" group in calm winds would make me happy, consistent 2" groups would make me ecstatic with a low end springer. But that's me, I'm basically a plinker and occasional pest shooter.

I have a HW97 that holds consistent 3/8 - 1/2 inch groups at 20 yards. Although I have not shot at 80 yards - theoretically it should shoot 3/4 - 1 inch groups at 40 yards and 1-1/2 to 2.00 inch groups at 80 yards.

well , i have a newly aquiered a walther lgu ,, done a stripp and re-lube . using the stock scope (6x44)
its done about 2000 shots now , and 200 after last barrel clean.
was trying for 10 shots at 80 today , but wind was gusting to mutch .
with jsb heavy i managed 4 shots ,all where touching ... tho had about 5-10 minutes in between each shot due to the wind lol
never had a springer thats this acurate .
Btw .. do i need a photobucket profile or something to upload picures here ?

?1cant say i get a single positive feeling about this imgur crap ... but here i go
target with 12 shots at 45 M right after the gun was lubed up with propper stuff.
pellet used was jsb heavy 177
