Springer air rifle for $300 or less

Ok guys, I've been researching and reading and reading and reading.....and I'm still lost. I want something new or refurb that can be ordered from a website or even bought used here. Not looking to wait around for the deal to pop up. I was recommended Gamo.by several people but after my online forums search, man Gamo has A LOT of negative feedback.
For right at $300, what are your thoughts? I'll be using this to take out backyard varmints....squirrels, moles and voles at 20-30 yards.
Thanks!

I just bought a Walther Parrus with a wood stock for $179 . you can get the syn. stock version for 149. It is accurate, hits hard, and looks like quality build. Only knock is the trigger, but only by comparison to guns selling for twice as much. It's only adjustable for the first stage, and the second stage has substantial amount of creep and breaks at around 3lbs. Its manageable, but it makes you work a bit to get the accuracy the rest of the gun is capable of.

For the price, I 2nd the Walther Parrus.

Even now, under $150.

I chose the synth stock since it has that nice wide foregrip.

Sights are good if you like the fiber optic format. Unfortunately, for my old eyes I need optics. If you go that route make sure you get a barrel droop compensating scope mount. I used the RWS model. My only knock is that there is only one hole in the Parrus receiver for the locking pin, and it forced me to mount the scope further back than I would like it, But I have always like my scopes further forward than most folks do.

Can't argue with the HW95, I have one in .22.

+1 to a fully tuned rifle from Mike at Flying Dragon. Had an XS25 in .22 I gifted a good friend when I thinned my collection.

Also read good things about the Parrus for $150 and with a $300 budget, you'd have room left for a decent scope and rings plus some pellets.
