On, Canada
I’ve been wanting to do this for so long. Today rain day so I disassembled my range to rebuild. This is a fun job.
IMG_5933.jpeg
This part I’m working on is 30—32 yds. lines. This is where I started. I cleared all the weeds and knocked down the poles.

I wanted to drop the front pole, to make room for a second pole behind. To the left of this part, it extends to 35 yds. Hopefully tomorrow. I turn a bit more to lift I’ll have a45 yd. area.
This is how far I got

I still have a few adjustments, but itching to shoot. It rained when I was I my shop changing my spinner hangers. It overflowed my catch basin, did serious washout on driveway.

All this water should be going through the black pipe.
This final shot is the view from my bench.

Still some adjustment needed. I’ll post more as I advance through the rest.
‘Crow Going to try it out!

Really nice Crowski. You had to get a good deal on the blue paint. Lol.
Thanks. It’s funny you say that, because I did, only because it was $7. instead of. $12. I swear I just used the last of them today. Finally. Tomorrow new colour. Crow.
If this blue came up at $5. I would pass.
Oh my fuuuuuuuun!👀👍🖤🤩
That's like a heck of a great time!
I already used it. I’m happy so far. Crow
Looks like you did a LOT of hard work on your shooting range and it looks great! Love the work with the stone.
Thanks. I’ve never done this work before. All the granite came off my 2 acres. Rocks dropped by glaciers. I put 30 ton of granite around range by hand. Altogether I estamated I laid 150 tons. Many 1-2 and 3 ton boulders. 5 yrs. project. Just putting on the jewellery now. Only lost 1 finger nail, lucky. Crow

Update
Put another 4 hrs. into range after a major rain yesterday a drizzle most of today. The ground was soft. Dug lots of steps to make safe. 12 ft to top. Put 2 more horizontal poles up. And shortened the spinner hangers.

Spent most of yesterday here and added a pole 33 yds. Also went yellow, retired the blue.
This has been a blast building again. Spent some time here today.

More adjustments will be needed. He’s frommy bench.
‘Still have a 45 yd range to make. Think I have a good idea.

This one stretches to 35 yds. Can’t wait to knock off some paint. Crow

Very nice Crowski, The .20 cals have work to do.

I change mine around the summer / winter directions due to the sun travel on the horizon + nice to have a change of pace time to time. Same ol same ol can get boring to.
I like to change it a few times a year. I shoot daily, so why not. I have to watch winter time, snow. That’s why I try to hang everything.
I find when it rains the ground targets get covered in dirt. Either wood base or mulch, not sure yet.
‘Try cutting a bean or mushroom can in half. My best is 38. Crow.

Holo07 thanks. Love it up here. 35 yrs later. This was my neighbours property. I was 2 doors away. I jumped on it when he mentioned selling. 8 yrs. here. Crow

that is a a great set up and a beautiful piece of property.

OK your hired !
great work, MY "range" is about 4 feet wide and 40 yards long on a 26% slope the 4 foot way .
Thanks. I quit. Crow
Nice job Crow! Looking good, need more soup cans!
Thanks. Funny you say that. I’m out of cans. Cutting them in half is best target. The HW90 .25 absolutely destroyed cans last nite. Crow

Crow,

I am always envious when I see your place. My wife would have to drag me away from that range, kicking and screaming, for dinner.

Maybe I'd put a picnic table and chair out there and request take-out so I could keep shooting, while I ate, lol.
Thanks. You haven’t seen my wife drive. Picnic table on driveway. Risky. Crow
