Always get a chuckle reading posts like this .... so much my spring gun can do this and stated PCP similar accuracy based off limed or no experience with non bottom shelf PCP's.
Yes there are some mighty fine low recoiling spring piston air rifles out there that can hang closely with a pcp within closer ranges ... Few that can achieve such attributes at stock from box, but highly massaged specimens.
A Diana 54/56 IS NOT RECOILLESS .... Actually it is one of the worst !!! The motion is simply damped via a sled system. Likely if one could document Piston guns and how many scopes they have destroyed .. Diana 48/52/54/56 series rifles would at or near the top of said list.
You simply CAN NOT hand hold a mechanical pellet shooter ( Spring piston or gas ram ) which has massive cyclic motion happening internally as steady as a PCP that only has Very minimal cyclic motion internally. This is a FACT based on physics.
This is not taking into account some 10M specialty spring piston MATCH air rifles made and used some 40+ years ago.
