Did you add finish to the Maccari stock? Looks really nice.Another favorite plinker. One day I was near a railroad track and started wacking a little water bottle offhand at unknown distance. Stepped it off then and it was 60 yards. The Little HW50 that could. Good gun to take for a walk.

Two? The second one for when I come visit?10, 17 and 25 yards from my favorite rocking chair. The pistols only achieve 350fps but hit with authority.View attachment 421267

That's why long distance shooters like steel plates. When a powder shooter hits a plate at 200-1,000 yards with a .38-55 it makes a loud DING. That's why we called them dingers.I generally try to shoot in mornings to score more natural light. The daylight is shortened about 8 hours from the summer.
Totally hooked on plinking. Today I started with a HW97 .25. I did take another rifle out, a 90, with are a blast to shoot. I couldn’t put that 97 down, talk about selfish.View attachment 414276
I know a lot of members don’t like the looping. I love it, easy to watch. I find it it’s consistency amazing.
I’m not the greatest shot. This is 25 shots at 30 yds. View attachment 414279The hole is 3/8 of an inch. 4 shots clean through, 6 caught edge of hole moved bell. View attachment 414281Still a round attached. I’ve do have paper targets and hope to get into them some day. I can’t stop pounding the spinners.
‘These bells my son got for me in a clearance (have a hundred coming) are turning into excellent targets. View attachment 414285_:Got it on a long chain. Lots of movemont, and timing is involved. Smack it and you ring the bell. Really cool.
This 97 is one of my favorite plinkers, the 77 .25 same deal.
What’s your favorite springer for Plinking? No PCP
A pic of favorite target or rifle would sweet.

you have a grinder ? you can shorten the bells some to produce different tones ( play a tune ?) yeah ! right !Spent yesterday afternoon and today installing the bells, using parts over 30 yrs. old. View attachment 421180Just bent the 4 inch flat bar with holes in vice with an over sized adjustable. Some of the holes I covered to make smaller. Installed maybe 30 bells so far. Time consuming, but good tune’s help. I tried out shooting. View attachment 421181They’re not going to last a life time. I’ve hit 1 bell with a 100 rounds, only a few holes. They will take a beating. Awesome to hit something, rather than an empty hole. Happy new year. Crow
I've been shot with bigger guns than those. Ain't scared. Plus I know you're jokingYep. And for dueling!
I would watch you on youtube shooting different rifles into your target range. Like Hickok45 but with different propellant.Spent yesterday afternoon and today installing the bells, using parts over 30 yrs. old.
