Squirrel Problem, or NOT

I never realized squirrels could be such a problem until I read this thread. I think the reason I've had not had problems with them is because we don't have trees up against our house. The tree line is about 70 yards away. Since they can be very destructive I will be keeping a closer eye on them.

people think squirrels need trees to climb onto a house but they could not be more wrong. Unless you have slick vinyl sidings they can climb just about anything with texture! I saw with my own eyes, multiple squirrels climbing neighbor’s stucco straight up on a flat surface like spider man! Impressive to say the least but also frightening because they can get to ANY part of the house.

For us the squirrels do not really cause any problems other than eating a tomato or digging in the ground to bury nuts. So I leave them be, and shoot rats instead
