Squirrel season starts in 1 month!!!

My usual method is to wait them out until I get a period of an hour with no movement, then I pack up. I don't pick up the bodies until it is clearly bothering them, otherwise leave well alone and stay hidden. Song birds nick the hair from the tails for nesting material.

I get wheat from the Estate. It is free, but I have to pay for the peanuts which I only use when I know squirrels are using bird feeding stations.

Sounds like a plan my friend. I have used peanut butter smeared on a tree trunk, once they are on to the peanut butter they can’t stop eating it.

Using peanut butter I have caught rats, fox cubs, badgers, crows and the odd wood pigeon, all in cage traps. I once caught a hedgehog.
