I bought the scope specifically for the 124, due to this article

Yes, our scope options back then for a springer were slim unless you bought a blue ribbon scope off Beeman but then had to be revived by paramedics. I went through quite a few Weavers and Redfields until I settled on a Bushnell 3-9 that was made for springers. That scope is still alive somewhere 38 years later. I think it’s on one of my dads guns.
