Star Studded RMAC Interviews - Part 1! Pro Advice at the Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge!

Just go do it is great advice!
Better advice yet, is save your pennies and then go do it, as attending these things ain’t cheap, unless you’re sponsored in some way.

Hotel costs, fuel or air fare, rent a car, meals, and entry fees, all put a decent sized dent in the pocketbook especially if you’re missing work to attend, but it is fun. The camaraderie once underway is spectacular

You are 100% correct. Both NAC and RMAC were NOT cheap for me. But I will say they were totally worth it.

🤔😅my I ask how much the "fees" were? Not Exact numbers per say. Just ballpark me🥴🤙
Fees so far for me were $300 one year then $350 the next. That’s entry fees. Account your fuel if you drive to it, then hotel costs for the week(for a decent place, not some armpit Tom Bodet “we’ll leave the lights on for ya!” place)and you’ll be at or just over a grand. Food? That’s up to your choices on meals. McDonakds for me 3x a day for a week, no thanks.

Flight costs you can figure, then there’s a rent a car to get you around for the week.

With that all said, one can easily figure out what going to these events cost the common folk.

Here’s something to chuckle at. When I shared my ventures with a couple of prople(non airgunners) they said in excitement “I’m going with you!! “
I said ok, but you gotta get your own room as im a little too old to be sharing a 10’ x 12’ room with one bathroom with anyone. So I sent them my itinerary which included hotel costs per night, locations, phone numbers, etc. I told them both that that was nice of them to “invest” in something like this to just come watch me and hang out. Fuel was on me since I was the one going there to compete, they were just tagging along. If they were competing, we’d share the fuel costs.
.
I never heard from them again.

But, just like saying Disneyland was worth it as a kid, so is attending one of these. If you’ve got paid vacation time thru work, so much the better.

Not as bad as I was thinking however I did overlook some of the costs that you described. 🤔
Now how often do they do these?😂
