Killed two today in the yard. One with the Leshiy Classic .22 and one with the .177 HW 75 - decided the Leshiy was too much gun for the job after first one spanged off the fence a little louder than I'd like after passing through the bird.
I like your method better, but maintenance and upkeep of that weapon seems like it'd be a little more than I'm interested in.
That's awesome a Starling with a hen Kestrel. Way to go. That is a great bird I flew many birds for 20 years. Most here probably don't know that a Starling with a Kestrel isn't the norm. Had I tercel Peregrine - Merlin hybrid that could catch Starlings, but quit chasing them after he tasted one. It was Snipe,Dove or Meadow Larks only after that for him. Funny to see that here. She uses air so I would say shes a type of air "gun". One hawk one wife. Two hawks no wife. Three hawks no life. Old Falconers saying.
