N/A Started with springer, went to PCP's, want 1 springer-which one?

My first 2 airguns were a Beeman R7 .177 and a Theoben SLR98 in .22. I went to PCP"s and have owned many, and now have 8 I'm really happy with. I feel I should own one good springer, but which one? Break barrel or cocking lever? My use will be for hunting (squirrels mainly). At 68, something not too hard to cock would be good. For some reason, I would not mind a .20 caliber. A gun with a thumbhole stock (I have a fused right wrist and an right-handed), ability to use a scope (mandatory), an adjustable cheek piece would be nice. Was looking at a Weirauch 98. Suggestions appreciated.

If you are going to be hunting, then I’ll assume weight is a consideration. My hw97k is super accurate, but even with a sling it is a load to lug around in the woods for more than an hour. My hw50s in .177 is my favorite hunter, and it can be tarted up with a nice CS500 or CS700 custom stock https://www.customstock.co.uk/product/cs500-sporter-air-rifle-stock/

Good luck choosing.

The best vendor for a Weihrauch twenty caliber is Airguns of Arizona. They are out of stock but accept a $25 down payment to reserve one. I have two twenty calibers and both were purchased from Airguns of Arizona. Kip at AoA tuned both of the rifles for me with Vortek kits and did an excellent job on each rifle. One is a HW95 Luxus pushing 18 fpe and the other is a HW97k pushing 14 fpe. For hunting I would recommend the HW95. It shoots very flat from 30 yards out to 55 yards.

If you want an adjustable stock rifle in twenty caliber check out the HW98. It is a little heavy for field duty but it is the same power plant as the HW95.

What I've learned so far:

.20 will be a challenge to find
I most likely can find a thumbhole stock or an adjustable cheekpiece. Getting both is not likely.
Craftsman Vit stocks give you both as well as an adjustable butt pad. I have one on my 97K and like it a lot.

Another vote for the Craftsman Vit. Pricey, but everything including the shipping is included in the price: adjustable buttpad, adjustable cheek piece, allen wrench to adjust both, longer stock screw you'll need, just pick your color. He may even make you one in wood instead of laminate, but you'd have to email to ask.
My 95 .22 in Ocean Grey Laminate:

Those stocks are around $500; you can both adjustable stock and thumbhole .The 97 is too heavy, also a break barrel is easier to cock,For me.
My 95 -R-9 is waaay better than my HW50 ,so another vote for a HW95 .Mine is a .20,Great,I think the .22 is better than a .177.
Because you are going to be hunting, easier to load and bigger .Anyhow look at the weight in the specifications.
Bottom line ,you can get what you want for $$$$ ,if not you ,' Get what you need" Rolling Stones,
