Tuning Steoger XM1 fill issues

Hi all,

Steoger XM1 has a smooth bore fill port and a quick coupler. I continually get air leaks with both hand pump and compressor. I assume it's related to O rings on the fill probe, but could it be anything else? Is there anyway to mod the port to receive a better fill probe?

I have XM1 and use silicone grease. Give some lube a try. It might fatten up the O rings.

Looks like they’re getting shredded when you insert the probe. Maybe lightly sand the entrance to ease the edge a bit, and silicone oil or grease on the o-rings.

Yeah what Scotty said-fill port looks pretty rough. New orings siliconed and should be good to go.

Still replacing o-rings every couple fills, believe it or not. Not the end of the world - but frustrating. I wonder if it is worth it to modify it to receive of different fitting.
