Thinking of having him do a stock for my Beeman R7. Seems like a nice guy that does pretty good work. Just wondering if very many people here have used him before and if so would you mind posting pictures of the stock he did for you and an honest opinion of the work he did.

I've bought several of Steve's stocks from early on when he was doing LD stocks. He always did superb work for me.

Steve did an excellent job on the FT stock. It took him 3 months to make back in 2016.

I've never owned one but have shouldered a few. Absolutely beautiful, fit and finish was perfect. I still go to his website and drool over the P Rod stock pictured there.

I have a set of grips for a lefty 1701p, made by Steve, very nice. Steve made me a lefty HW95 stock, turned out great. There are rumors of a lefty HW30 this year. He does very nice work, highly recommended.

he does good work, an artist of stocks...I have been waiting for over three months just to be able to tell him what I want.

So there you go, people have to wait for him to make their stocks,they do because the stocks can be a work of art or whatever you want.

My waiting experience is this, do not think, get on the "waiting list" you will have plenty of time to think about what you really want or if you want to wait.

I have not bought from Steve but have had a number of custom stocks made for me over the years and the main issue is having patience the process takes time. If you are willing to wait 6 to 18 months in most cases you will probably be very happy with the results. If you don't want to wait that long then these folks are always an option https://www.customstock.co.uk they don't have an R7 listed (HW 30 I think) but they do great work so worth asking at least. Thanks for the replies, that helps in making a decision. I’m used to waiting on things. My last USPSA Open pistol took 13 months to complete and I’m almost 6 months in on a Custom 6GT build for PRS matches.

I I found Steve very pleasant to deal with. Mention what grade of blank and he sent me detailed pictures of each blank . My R7 and 2 FWB 124 stocks. Probably 8 weeks wait . American made! I highly recommend.

So I bite the bullet today and ordered one of Steve’s stocks for my R7. Told him I wanted a high cheek since this will have a scope on it and which ever sporter he can make with a more vertical grip and do it in walnut. So the waiting game begins.
