Steyr Steyr lp2 compact - converting to right hand.

Bought a lefty, and the previous owner had adjusted the large grip to his hand with a sort of white hardened material.
I sawed, grinded and sanded the shaft, and was able to convert it to my right medium hand. Also smergled down the trigger. This came out ok, and I have ordered a base for a red-dot, and a new cylinder. (Sorry, the pictures are a bit “hulter til bulter”, but assuming you got the idea guys).

of course there is always Rink Grips to fix it up

Yes Marflow, there are grips available on the market, and I was tempted to order one in the beginning, but the challenge to fix it (and save me the cost) is satisfying.

Probably some spartel meant for metal. It was very hard.

Very impressed by this little pistol. Shoots the 8,44 grn pellets around 470 fps. Todays testing: 22 meter on paper, and nailing a beer can at 50 meter.

Great job on reshaping the grip! The end result looks very similar to the Silhouette grip.

Yes Gwelo. With that “sport grip” it’s so much easier to bench rest the pistol, or hold it with two hands in standing position. I’m not into 10 m match shooting, so this convert suits me perfectly. Have done this to most of my match pistols now.

Steyr makes a benchrest attachment for their target pistol grip. Not for the sport grip but kinda interesting.
