The Crosman addiction never seems to fade. So not being able to leave well enough alone I purchased a Huma regulator for my already highly modified Ratgun carbine with the Discovery tube.
The second the regulator got here I became very anxious to see how it performed so pulled it out of the case, put it on the workbench and started tearing the gun apart. With all of the mods I have done to this gun it does not tear down as near as easy as the stock units do. But soon it was just many pieces on the bench. Changed out the valve for one done a bit more conservatively, as the FX liner was a bit shorter than the original barrel, but I nicked the valve o-ring on the first try getting it past the gauge hole so had to pull it and try again. Don’t know where my tool to specifically stop this from happening went but that did not stop me and I got it right on the second attempt. The reg itself is very well designed so the plenum and reg both just slid right in and I slid my de-pinger in right after.
After another twenty minutes I had the gun back together and held my breath as I put air to it. Ah, what a relief no sign of a leak anywhere. Filled it to my 2k and then remembered I had the large #10 grade 8 screws holding my valve so took it up to 2,600psi still no leaks. Inserted a clip ;^) and fired off a couple of rounds. The gun seems to be shooting a bit hot even though I set the reg to 110bar.
I really want to get out to Chrony and sight this thing in today but as with so many other days I am waiting for another package full of pellets from Fed-X man and don’t want to miss them cuz they would not last long on my porch in this neighborhood. So here I wait impatiently as the minutes slowly click by hoping they get here soon so I can get out to the range and get the addiction off of my back for a short time anyway.

I was just wondering what I had into this thing so tallied it all up;
2240 gun $60
Discovery tube $80
Baker Bulk kit $65
BNM repeater breach $160
FX STX .22 liner used $80
Carbon fiber tube $30
Marauder magazine $20
Blue Fork Design Trigger frame $80
Huma regulator $125
SuperSear $40
Misc parts $60 brass and aluminum bar, 2250 forearm, barrel band and screws, shipping costs
Adjustable AR stock $0 leftover from an AR mod
Only $720 so I got off cheap on this one as compared to my $1000+ 2240 pistol.
$950 though if you include the scope so pretty much the same as the 2240 pistol
Spendy little $60 guns these can turn out to be for sure.
I will get back to you on the chrony numbers and some target pics as well.
