I just looked on Utah Airguns. They show a new Royale 500 with a synthetic stock as being in stock right now. If I hadn't just bought a Vulcan 3 I would be all over that.

Just a follow-up on my previous post. I special ordered an FX Royale 400 (.22 and walnut stock)through Pyramid Air. The fella I worked with was Mark Welker. Very knowledgable and patient - a joy to talk with because he is an enthusiast. He must have spent 30-45 minutes talking with me. I asked him if I could request a nicely figured stock and he pretty much said that they get what they get. Not being totally discouraged I IM'd FX via AGN and got a very nice response in short order. Basically what was communicated to me was that they would look over their limited supply of stocks and pick one out for me. Really great service from a first rate company. Thank you FX! Now, the wait for my new Royale begins.
Thanks Tommy. Yes, based on comments from my close friends I am looking forward to it being my favorite pcp.Your persistence paid off Bill.
Post some pics of the new Royale when you receive it. This will hopefully become one of your favorite air rifles.
I too had a bobcat, awesome gun, I have never owned an FX I didn't love. The only airgun I've owned that can "humble" my Veteran is my Bobcat Mk2 .25...with the smooth twist barrel...I've posted volumes about it and dozensView attachment 425914View attachment 425915 of groups from my Bobcat, most if not all from the "chair shooting position". Like the Vet never had any issues from new....Recently started shooting it on high Power now that I have a compressor...900 fps with JSB 25s, The thing is nothing short of amazing...can sit for weeks and is capable of dime sized groups at 45y on zero...first shots...I just wish it had a nice walnut stock on it...
Group is first six shots after sitting for couple weeks at 45y.
That AOA MOA coin looks familiar....
I first searched out anyone who had a nice regulated Royale - nothing. People just don't eve rsell them.

Fine rifle you got there, nice stock and if its anything like the FX guns I've owned it's a real shooter. I have a Boss .30 original S/T barrel thats a tack driver.Got this about 2 weeks ago. Shoots amazing. Super quiet.

I read somewhere recently that an FX representative had responded to this by saying no, the line is not discontinued, but due to low demand it is a special-order rifle. I take that to mean that the profit margin is much more attractive on the other gadgetry they sell, and that the Boss/Royale line might not be around much longer.I am sure it was worth the wait from PYA. Is it brand new or used? I only ask because I thought FX stopped making the Royale, and they are hard to find.
Brand new - was special ordered. I'm over the moon with it!. Walnut no longer offered - neither is laminate.Best of luck with the new .22 Royale Bill. Yes, the stock looks very good.

You’ll really appreciate the consistent accuracy with either/both the JSB 15.89 or 18.1 pellets. I also was lucky to find a.30 Boss ST and bought it from another AGN member. That gun is also very accurate at both 50 and 100 yards, especially when wind is light.
Yup. Biggest mistake in my AG hobby was selling my unregulated FX Royale 400 walnut. 2nd biggest was buying a FX MaverickJust read this whole thread with morning coffee , Thanks ! I like the "old school simple rifles " smooth twist barrels have always interested me .
