Ya, a guy use to be here that would sandblast furniture for refinishing/ restoration that came out like new pristine wood ..No just elbow grease.

Nope just the paint, varnish, crud . Even the little nooks and crannies perfect .Probably lost a little wood in the process..lol.
Thanks, it's not too bad really. As long as looks better than the factory orange I'll be happy.that’s a lot of work for a beech stock. I’m sure it will look amazing.

Just discovered baking soda blasting for wood as well . Check that one
Thing is no harsh chemicals.
Good old spray tinted dye finish can hide many diferencesHere's a few more pics of the stock before it's finished, for those who were interested in how I got it clean. I radius all sharp corners except the butt. All smooth and rounded instead of sharp and squared.

I never knew it had that dark streak on the left side with the orange stain covering it.
Be a few days till it arrives. Wasn't fond of the sharp edges, not on this one anyway. Lets see some more of your dyed stocks while we wait, give me something to shoot for.Good old spray tinted dye finish can hide many diferences
I will hold my tongue on rounding off sharp edges and softening the lines or edges.. Get that dye on and post.
