So I have an Impact M3 in .30 cal and the stock moderator really doesn’t do much because it is just an empty tube that threads to the end of the barrel. Was wondering if anyone knew of some baffles that could be bought to put inside of it, which would greatly increase its effectiveness. Really don’t understand why FX would just send you an empty tube seeing how it is a 2200$ air rifle. Currently switched it to a DonnyFL Ronin, but would like to use the stock one in other applications if I could get some baffles in it.

When my .25’s are tuned perfectly, that empty can does a surprisingly good job. A .30 might be different. Accuracy is also premo with the empty can so maybe that’s one of the reasons they didn’t get all crazy with packing it with stuff. Someone out there has a printing recipe to print baffles for it. In the meantime you can felt wrap some curlers trimmed to fit in there. I used one of those for years on my RTI. It did quite well.

Thanks for the reply, the stock one didn’t seem to play any effect on accuracy for this particular rifle. But I know moderators can play a big role in accuracy. Good idea on the curlers I’ll have to give it a shot, but would be cool to get some baffles and see which one of the two would help accuracy more!

+1 for the felt wrap. The Huma Air 30 has 3 seperate chambers with felt wrapped in each one. It's effect on my AEA HP SS .22 is amazing. It went from sounding almost like my 10/22 to a "puff" that I can tolerate inside my garage.
