Snowpeak Stoeger Bullshark .177 JSB KO 13.43

I appreciate this thread! I am going to try more slugs later this afternoon, but the KO's are Lasers, 981 FPS, with the hammer spring turned all the way in, then 1 and a quarter turns out. I thought i was going to end up with a $1000+ gun to shoot .177 slugs, nope! $479 on Amazon...and PS, they are offering a $200 gift card when you open a Visa card with them!
I will update on here as i shoot

I didn't see any appreciable velocity gain past 2 turns on mine. I have a Lane plenum enroute to see if I can get a little more velocity out of the 13.43s.

I bought “deleted members” BullShark. It was in pieces and missing pieces when I got it. @EdinGa have you installed a plenum? This BullShark I bought was leaking with the attempted install huma plenum. I have one I bought for my P35 still sitting around, it’s the plenum from the South African guys. I’m debating if I install it on this 177 BullShark slug shooter or the p35 25 cal pellet shooter.

I think the 25 needs the help. I don't think the 177 should but I don't shoot slugs in my 177 P35. 10.6 grain pellets around 900 fps work fine for me. Mine hates KOs - worst projectile I've tried in it. But it might love them with a plenum. That South African plenum transformed my P35-25.

I got my hands on a bullshark, however. Another member asked me to set it up for him. It's a 22. I had 21 grain H&Ns in .217 and 25 grain H&Ns in .218. It shot the 25s better - less than half an inch group at 30 yards. It did better with pellets but at longer range the slugs might win. My P35-25 likes a light Nielsen slug pretty well - but again not quite as much as it's preferred 33.95 grain JSBs.

I'm impressed by the 22 bullshark I did a little work on. I'll post a separate thread but other than an overly heavy stock I think it's an upgrade from the P35. And I like my P35s. But there are not really many differences.

I haven't installed mine yet. I can't bring myself to mess with it because it shoots so nice like it is. If it ever develops a leak, I'll probably do it then.

That’s why I haven’t done anything with my P35 25 cal. I’m really happy with what it’s doing. 37 FPE is all I need and it’s accurate.
