Stop going "full toilet paper" on the pellets please.

Got to make another plug for casting. Guessing not an option for the high accuracy folks?

Pays for itself quickly, simple to do reasonably well, feels good to reuse trapped lead, nice not be at the mercy of supply and demand and rising prices.
done outdoors with a lot of ventilation and some other basic precautions and PPE it seems safe enough as well.

Perhaps you're using big-bore/slugs? About the only case I can think it MIGHT be worth it. Assuming one already has all the gear to do so.

Last purchase I made was 4 tins of AA 16gr diabolos. Two thousand pellets. After several months I am just now getting into the 2nd tin. That would have been my normal purchase pre-pandemic. I have actually been shooting a lot less, though. And do make a point to shoot a good bit of the Walmart Crosman pellets, and save the nice pellets for when I really want/need them.

🤷‍♂️ Some people are just selfish gluttons. And I guess more have taken to airgunning with the absurdity of the PB ammo market. I also have not bought any real bullets since the pandemic started. Still have maybe 20 308 and maybe 60 .45 acp, a handful of 45-70 and 30-30 as well as some 12ga shells.

Let's really put the blame where the blame is due! It's clearly all Ed's fault for coming out with the Leshiy 2 during a world wide pandemic. 😜 I can attest to the fact that I go through a lot more pellets with my L2, but I try and plan my pellet purchases so that I always have some stock on hand. Unfortunately with stock levels at the moment getting onboard with pre-orders may be the only way. Try to plan your pellets orders a few months out.

Also, if you go to PA right now, there are 40 different .22 pellets options listed as being in stock now. This includes JSB 14, 15.9 and 18gr in the smaller 250 count containers.

I guess going "Full Toilet Paper" depends on how much you shoot, or what sale is on. I just did the PA sale with 16 tins (12 .25 and 4 .22). Here's how my math worked:

Buy 3 got 4th free, so 4 tins are free.

Free shipping over $150

11% off st paddy's day sale

Already had one order for .25's outstanding, so cancelled it to help with the free shipping aspect of the new order

That's probably a years or more shooting for me, so won't be back to the well for a while.

Order was about $228 - 11%, so a little over $200 plus Sales Tax put it back at about $217, but for that, I got a whole year of fun.

I only do the big orders when the stars align and sales are on, but when I do, I try to get the most bang I can afford.

By the way, all delivered within 4 days. One came out of Ohio, the other Draper Utah (gee, I wonder which warehouse that came out of, snicker) Yes there is a shortage, but ammo is available. Unlike the PB world right now. One of the reasons I like air rifles!

Does that qualify you as one of those "selfish gluttons" mentioned above? Maybe you should have left half of those for some other unfortunate soul.

Buy while you can, the prices are only going to go up. I even bought a bunch to sit on for awhile a couple months ago, speculating that'll happen.

Assuming I don't blow through my own stash first. :)

Asking folks not to stock up during a panic only works if EVERYONE does it.

So it's kinda pointless. As I'm sure many of those that seriously complain have done the same at some time.

I would bet you are correct with that last sentence.

Food for thought the average joe is at the bottom of the food chain look at all the competition events upcoming and going on .

AOA - Utah air guns - PA.-Air gun depo -ect.- not to mention all the independent dealers that need pellets to tune your guns they are at the first of the list .

Then go by the guys working in these stores they know all the competition people & have friends so they inform them of shipments like I seen on a different post by Tomico about a shipment of pellets { a little birdie told him } I could be very wrong but that's the way I see it .

We wouldn't see this if covid didn't happen but things just got derailed for a while

I do the same but I did get that 20% a couple years ago

Considering both orders were delivered in 4 days, seems like there's plenty to go around. Now, I did order FX Brand pellets, not the JSB's. JSB's were out of stock, but FX in and plentiful

If you have a couple thousand small rifle primers, you could sell them and retire these days. Good on ya for being stocked up for the bad times.

Went thru a similar hoarding of pellets many years back. About 10 years or less from now your gonna see numerous articles about lead pellet corrosion from sitting in closed tins for all these years. After being oxidized, people will realize there hoarding was a waste of time as many of their tins will be worthless except for making fishing sinkers. Will people learn anything.....nope...just complain about poor quality pellets and how they wasted their hard earned money. Why buy more than you will shoot in the next 6 months?
