Stormrider gets new moderator!

I've been studying moderators lately.

On a lark I bought some clear PVC tubing. I made this moderator for my Storm Rider.

It's the same length as the stock moderator, bit larger in diameter (5mm), and 3 dBs quieter.

It is as accurate or more accurate than the stock moderator.

I shot this 10 shot group while I was adjusting the sights it was shot at 25 yards. The first two shots (6 and 5 o'clock) I was still adjusting the zero. The last eight shots went into one centimeter in a stiff breeze from 10 o'clock.

Same moderator in CF.

Looks like first couple of inches of inches are an expansion chamber with some type of soft liner followed by 4 baffles of some type, followed by another expansion chamber. How close am I??

3/8 of the total volume is expansion chamber. There are 4 K baffles and then 2 wiper baffles.

As the song sez two out of three ain't bad..

Don't know that song but I thought you did fine. Jury is still out on the last two baffles. Might be better to use two more Ks.

I do not think you should use the word intended or firearms , to me that implies "IT could be used " which is what the law states . " only for air guns"
is the accepted wording .

Whatever combination was in the .177 version I last tested, worked incredibly well. In fact it was the quietest and most accurate silencer I ever tried on my Red Wolf.

Are you talking about CF#1? I hope I can duplicate that on the next two I send.
