Strelok pro -vs- I strelok -vs - chairgun

I found Airhunters Guide - Scope Tape Tutorial on YouTube very helpful. He dumbed it down far enough for me to grasp in one session.

Another video, from someone else (wish I could remember who) showed how to mark zero with a hash, then rotate turret to the side and write the yardage. Its easier to write on the turret that way.

All very simple tips that I wouldn't have come up with on my own.

FWIW, I use Strelok Pro and "true" my results, then create a turret tape, but you could use stickers if you prefer. I would image chairgun would do the same.

The results are spot on for me. I zero at 50 yards, then true the 100 yard results. Not sure I'm doing it the best way, but its easy and the results are great for my usage.

I just purchased StrelokPro, and have been working to get it set up for my rifle. So far, I’m very impressed. It has the reticle for my scope (Optisan EVX), the BC for the pellets I’m shooting (JSB .25 Heavy MKII’s), and it uses all this data, as well as barrel twist, scope height, weather, wind, pellet velocity for your tune at different temperatures, etc. in its range calculations. I still have a lot of work to do before I will have it completely dialed in, and can verify holdover and windage calculations.

Alejo,

I have Strelok Pro, and also ChaiGun (mobile and desktop) and X-Act and tried several other ballistic calculators.

The best for the field and just daily shooting is Strelok Pro. The mobile ChairGun is lousy in comparison (it's good, but not in comparison).

Strelok Pro is worth the extra few dollars over the free version and the Strelok + version.

But the desktop ChairGun can do so much more in comparison to Strelok Pro — but those are mostly calculations you can do at home — not needed in the field.

Another and brandnew calculator that promises even more functions you can find here:

https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/official-release-simple-pcp-calculator-mobile

🔶 Take some time to learn the functions, set things up, measure your scope height very carefully.

Because putting garbage in — will get you garbage out.... 😄

If you have many rifles you want to set up on Strelok, it might be good to have a master file or cheat sheet with a record of some of the info you'll always need: pellet height and BC; muzzle velocity of a certain pellet with a certain gun with a certain tune; etc.

AirGunnerBob_O has a turret tape tutorial on his site.
