Stupid mistake while removing jammed pellets.

The magazine that came with my FX wildcat was not set up properly ( pellet doesn’t advance it smoothly due to low spring power). So, I jammed the barrel with few pellets and I was stupid enough to use one steel rod trying to clear it without even removing the moderator and barrel. Without knowing where the exact location of the jam I applied a mild pressure by hammering it but the pellets never came out . After spending a good three days to put the magazine back without success, I realized that the barrel has taken all the pressure and pushed out a piece of metal in the chamber ( picture attached). I filed the protruding metal off but looks so ugly now, lesson learned

I had to cock multiple times, since the magazine was not advancing smoothly, that led to multiple pellets (twisted the pellets as well) in the chamber by mistake.

If in doubt always ask here or use the search function. We have a good amount of very experience people on the forum. I don't own a wildcat but I think you have bigger problems, someone will chime in. Best of luck

Is it permissible to direct members to youtube university? Plenty of show and tell solutions to the stuck pellet syndrome there

Invest in a brass or bronze rod. The steel rods are more likely to damage you barrel or breech. Bronze TIG welding/brazing rod works very well and are very cheap. But brass rods can also be found at some hardware stores. Lightly sand the ends smooth so there are no sharp edges.

My cousin triple feed with slugs my Uragan. Then I ruined my Uragan barrel and needed a new one from Praga.

Best to do is to hear the shot. If something is not normal stop feeding more pellets !!!

My cure for when I do something stupid like loading multiple pellets, which as most can tell from my comments, is quite often, is to pull the barrel, and disassemble, they tend to fall right out. Or use a BIGGER HAMMER!!

That's a bummer but as you said lesson learned! We all make mistakes.

Hopefully you can get away with using your magazine to index the barrel in the correct spot and lock it down with the set screw and just need a new barrel

That'll work for the to and fro, what about clocking it right to line up the transfer port?

It would have to be by eyeball may not be perfect but but it would be cheaper than a new action

Mark the barrel opsite side of the transfer port put the mark straight up and index off the magazine pull out the breach grub screw and check to see that the mark from the screw is in the right spot install and tighten

Yeah that's a good work around.
