Every time I look at rifles online, I can hardly fine a Sub 12 ft lb rifle for sale here in the United States. Every now and then Pyramyd Air will have a refurbished Air Arms, but they are hard to find. I've even contacted a distributor to see if I could special order a sub 12 ft lb rifle and I was told I'd have to adjust the regulator and tune it because they don't import the lower power rifles. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love a high powered PCP, but I do find it would be nice to have a low power rifle for small critters and accurate plinking without having to fill very often. I have a permission where they need rats taken out of their pig barn and I don't think my .25 Impact or .22 Marauder would be the correct tool for that. I'm debating on using my sons .177 Maximus because it's spitting them out with authority. My son doesn't want me to re tune his rifle and I don't feel up to messing with the Impact or Marauder because they are right where I want them to be. I find it odd that there isn't a bigger market in the States for sub 12 ft lb rifles. I would love to get my hands on a "legal limit" Air Arms TDR or a Leshiy. I know I can adjust the Leshiy to do what I need it to do, but I already have enough rifles that I tinker with. I'd like an out of the box light weight low powered pcp. Crosman does offer the 12 ft lb Maximus, but I'd like to get something a little more refined. Any ideas why there isn't a bigger market in the U.S. for low power PCP rifles?
