About a year ago, Air Venturi installed a sub 12lb Vortek Kit in my TX200. While I received great service in every regard, and the accuracy of the rifle improved dramatically, it only sent a JSB 8.44 pellet down range at 721 FPS, producing just over 8 lbs of muzzle energy.

Today, I installed a +12 lb Vortek Kit and without any power washers, it produced an average over 20 shots of 894 FPS, or 14.7 lbs with the same pellet. Accuracy remained good. It is dead on at 18 yards and at 50 yards. A big improvement.
 
I purchased my kit from Pyramid Air because of the "twangy" condition of my rifle as received from the factory. It really smoothed it out. I had some issues getting it installed right. First, leave the original factory seal in place on the piston. There is no reason to change it. Second, for some reason yet to figure out, I could not get it to fully cock. After about the third reassemble, it worked fine. At first I thought it was the spring length as it is longer than the sub 12 lb kit, but that wasn't it. I just must not have been doing something right. Final tip, do not over grease. I did not use any power washers.

I have only had a chance to shoot it on paper in my indoor range at 18 yards, but except for a flyer or two, and I would get one occasionally with the sub 12 lb kit, I think the accuracy may have actually improved. I did walk out the back door and shoot it at a few spinners I had placed between 40 and 55 yards. Never missed one and at 50 yards, it appeared to be dead on. I hope to have wind and sky conditions today to permit putting it on paper at 50.

I attempted to upload a photo of a target shooting both Crosman Premiers and JSB 8.44s but the AGN server doesn't seem to be working properly this morning. I will attempt to do so later.
