Summer heat and keep on Shoot’n

Good morning everyone,

Boy how nice it is to shoot from inside my shop this hot morning. Already shot over 100 rounds and tested several pellets at different settings and then shot this 30-Yard Challenge target. Another 199 for me, I just cannot get that one more point , but I have all day to shoot .

Have a great day,

Well I am heading in the wrong direction, just shot a 197....how do I do that with 16-xx's. Going to change my Forum name from ThomasT to that 190? fellow
It could be that I am so cold in my new location......🥶
I'm still shoot'n

Hello everyone,

This is my set up now inside the shop for the Crown shooting at 30 yards. It is so hot outside that the "heat devils" are dancing on my asphalt driveway, not sure you can them in the attached photo. However I am plenty comfortable inside and I sure can concentrate better now.
I'm still shoot"n

Great setup Thomas T. When we demo our old shop and put up new I might have to try that. Right now the old shop is aka the backstop! I grew up in E. Texas but now in Bay City. About 30 miles N of Palacios. Mornings are no good here because it’s so dang humid. We usually start around 7:00 PM, about the only time it’s bearable especially with the extreme drought we’re in. Looking forward to cooler weather!

Hello cjtamu,

Know exactly where you live, I used to live in San Leon. I am thinking about removing the solid one piece glass in the French door and replacing it with a combination glass / opening window. That way I could still see good and shoot out of it but being so much smaller would help on the heat and a/c.

It's been horrible here in Missouri with the humidity and bugs. I keep my guns in the basement and have to acclimate them in the garage for a bit then take them out to the shooting table, otherwise my scopes fog up and my guns get condensation all over them. Just sitting in the shade I've been sweating like crazy.

Luckily tomorrow is supposed to be a little cooler, I have 8 new NSA slugs I need to try out.
