Even with the rule change I decided it was not fair to shoot it in Sportsman Class. I will shoot my Annie with the other rimfires in that class.

That's good thinking. Much more fair to shoot the exact same scores using match Rimfire instead.

Sportsman is 100% factory built guns without limit to cost. Factory class is for inexpensive rimfire guns. My Annie could not compete in Pro class. And the inexpensive factory rimfires have factory class to compete in.That's good thinking. Much more fair to shoot the exact same scores using match Rimfire instead.

The intent of the sportsman class was to have factory produced slug guns go against factory produced Rimfire with no cost limit. That turned out to be ridiculously optimistic on the airgun side. Not a single factory slug gun in 4 years has been able to keep up with even the low cost factory Rimfires....let alone the match rimfires in sportsman.
