Super thumbs up to Darko and Custom Mags (CARM)

I want to say THANK YOU for the above and beyond service but for anyone reading this, I'm not promoting that Custom Magazines is in the habit or having a responsibility to do this.

I reached out to them to see if he could create a magazine based on an existing rifle but not in a factory caliber. Darko responded that he would see what he could do but it might be a few days because of other commitments. Well, he got back to me in 2 days with a pic of the prototype and a promise to test it. Two days later I had ordered and they were on the way on the next day... AMAZING ... he even offered a single shot tray and loader, which I was happy to scoop up...

Here is the result...

Now this is something that many have inquired to Tom of AAA about but I took it upon myself to try... a 177 P-EVOL. The idea is an EVOL for AAFTA and EFT pistol ft events. The Mini would have been the perfect choice but I only have a gen 1 Standard. With a couple of parts from Tom and my own valve, I was able to get it down to 12 ft lb at 1400 psi and this 12" barrel and shroud that I made and fitted. It is 24" overall and the barrel assembly is 14.5" with the fore end depth less than 3". At 1700 psi, it makes 20 ft lb easily. The short tube will be fitted for appearance and balance when I can acquire a different guage block. Mine is early gen 1 and my guage block won't fit this tube.
It's pretty amazingly accurate and VERY pleasant to shoot in rifle form and gets a huge number of shots on the current reservoir.
I also fitted a 15" barrel to test with and use the original tensioning shroud...

Fun project...

Agreed, Darko and CARM are true friends to the community. WM

Darko reached out to me 6 or 8 months ago when he read that I was single feeding the custom Ghost .20. Similar to the one-off .177 P-Evol project here, he custom made some magazines and a single shot tray and I had them in-hand quickly.

He offers a necessary service, and does it with a level of customer service that isn't common these days.

Thanks Tony...
I also owe Tom a HUGE thank you for his discussion and suggestions on this and the use of his latest hammer assembly and the probe he had made for his 177 prototype a couple of years ago. He is interested in how it turns out, of course but has so many higher priority projects going, it will likely be a while before he can turn real attention to the 177 competition equipment. I have a few VERY capable ft rifles but since shooting the DW and Ghost so much in the last couple of years, this form factor has become more interesting. I definitely envision this rifle in my ft ventures this year.
