Supggestions wanted for a Scale for weighing pellets.

i used to have to weigh some really small objects similar to pellets in some really windy areas. ended up having to build an air dam to not get any fluctuations on my reads. real simple box design too, three full walls that are about double the height of the scale, a roof/top, and a half wall in front so i could still see my weights. made that first design out of cardboard and then just redesigned with plexiglass and full coverage on it

Yes indeed we really don't think about the weight of air. Why does a pressure gauge start at 0 PSI? Air pressure at sea level is one atmosphere, or 14.7 PSI if my foggy memory banks are firing on all cylinders. No wonder you are tired at the end of the day, you've been holding up all that air! :) A little breeze is all it takes when a scale is accurate 3 places right of the decimal. The air does thin out as we go up, the X-ray gear I sold was density calibrated at sea level, machines installed at high altitudes required a recalibration of the shading board. Air matters. Back when I was a service tech I would let the air out of a compressor tank prior to moving it. Even at 100 PSI in the tank that was strictly a feel good move.... Or so I thought initially, more often than not there will be some water in the tank, ofttimes a LOT of water so I always drained the tank prior to moving a compressor.
