Umarex suppressor recoil?

my first and only pcp airgun is the notos. i’ve opened up the transfer ports and softened/smoothed out the hammer spring action. i have the plenum kit installed and i have a non-branded suppressor installed.
consistent 868-874fps with 14.3
this specific suppressor, when compared to the others i have is by far the quietest one. when comparing it with the others it has a perceivable recoil when i launch a pellet. don’t get me wrong, i actually like it, but is it something i should take into consideration with regard to the durability of the airguns internal mechanisms?
it’s quiet enough that i can hear the pellet swoshing through the air up to the POI. i dont see any swirly pellet flight so POI is consistent.
could i be jedi mind tricking myself?

Basically explains that the recoil energy is a combination of the projectile’s momentum and the ejected gas. The gas applies a jet propulsion force pushing back on the muzzle, so redirecting the gas to the sides (as done by brakes or compensators) produces less recoil.

The article goes on to explain how suppressors produce a similar reduction on account of stretching out the applied force over time. That’s interesting because it suggests a suppressor which does a better job quieting things can also be expected to reduce recoil, whereas you describe the opposite occurring. Hazarding a guess, maybe it has something to do with the chamber nearest the muzzle promoting the early portion of the blast to be mostly in line with the barrel. Not something I’ve put a lot of thought into so I could be totally off.

Notos carbine weighs 4 pounds. You might be able to feel the recoil of a 24 fpe projectile, yes. It won't hurt your gun. If that moderator is really that quiet it will likely be easier to notice any movement after the shot.

Go and rent a 9mm or .45cal handgun, or a .308 rifle. put 100 rounds through any of them. Then you'll forget ALL about a slow moving pellet...recoil.

hehehe that’ll do it. i meant recoil on that notos with that moderator attached makes my point of aim jiggle in a jagged figure 8 whenever i fire. a different moderator does not do that. maybe i really am just jedi mind tricking myself. there is no
recoil…
