Results SVFTC August 25th FT Match Report

Woo Whooo !!! we get a much needed break in the hot weather finding our day starting out in the low 50's @ 7am to a very comfortable @ 82 when we finished up @ 1:00 pm.
Winds stayed fairly calm the entire match with only enough breeze that lightly gusted to gets ones attention a couple times. Great day overall !!

22 shooters make it out this month keeping our club FT match attendance at record levels pre or post covid years. Way to go guys !!!
The course setters get on site a tad before 7am and have it all done by 8 am having set 15 lanes. Today offhand was set up on lane 8 utilizing three Bell Targets, where 1 bell of shooters choice could be taken kneeling. This gave today's total shots a 62 possible.

As the shooters roll in over the next hour or so we get everyone registered and score cards filled out. Practiced is allowed for @ 45 min or so. The practice paper & quads get pulled in and we have our shooters meeting while also greeting a new shooter to our ranks. The squads of 2 were assigned by previous lottery of the MD digression always looking to mix & match who shoots with who so we ALL get to know one another as if family. All the squad assignments get handed out and we call the lanes HOT !! & off they go !

We finish up before @ 1:00pm where CHILI DOGS with all the condiments !!! Chips, drinks and cookies !!
After some food the crew gets out on the course tearing it back down with bricks on the trailer & target tossed in there boxes heading up to get fresh paint.
Small work crew gets the targets prettied up for next month and properly stacked into the tubs.
An informal announcement is made on how everyone had done ( As many had already bugged out ) and we then reopen range for those who wished to stay and play with other air guns. We had about 10 or so stick around for an hour & half or so formally exiting the range about 3:00.

So there we have it, Another EXCELLENT Club Field Target event well attended with loads of laughs & giggles mixed in with groans of missed targets.
THANK YOU to all that attended this month, those who helped out get an extra thanks !!

Until next month when we do it again at range 9 of the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center on September 22nd .... Be well, stay sharp and we'll challenge you all once again !!
